The Association for Advancement of Mental Health, also known as AAMH, is a private, nonprofit, community-based mental health center providing comprehensive behavioral health care to individuals and their families in Greater Mercer County, N.J. Founded in 1974, AAMH provides a range of psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, psychoeducation and rehabilitative services to mentally disabled individuals and their families. Some of its services include individual, group and family psychotherapy and counseling, psychiatric evaluation and consultation, medication management, psychiatric day treatment, supported employment, supportive housing, case management and community education. AAMH is licensed by the State Division of Mental Health Services and is an approved provider with Medicare, Medicaid and other managed care networks. AAMH has its headquarters in Princeton, N.J.
