Provided by YP.comI have been a customer of CVS for many years, until 10/7/15 I have loved and enjoyed going to CVS for all my prescription refills and store items. Unfortunately, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with how CVS minute clinic of Princeton, TX handled my visit to them. On 10/7/15 I was experiencing some pain in my eye and it was clearly swollen. With icing it all day and no changes happening, my husband and I decided to make a drive out to the Princeton, TX CVS minute clinic that evening. I double checked on their website which clearly states they are open till 7:30 but you must be checked in by 7:15 in the kiosk to be seen.
We arrived at the clinic at 6:50 and proceeded to check in. The kiosk would not allow me to sign in and stated the time exceeded past 7:30 for the next patient and I could not be seen. I then proceeded to ask the pharmacy if the nurse practitioner was still there and that I wanted to double check and verify that I could not be seen.
One of the pharmacist said that she was seeing a patient and I could wait to speak with her. I continued to wait till 7:00. I had noticed the clinic door was opened a bit and I proceeded to knock to make sure she was in the room. The nurse practitioner Josephine opened the door. She was closing out paperwork for the night and had no patients. I continued to ask if I could sign into the kiosk to be seen and that I was also trying beat the clock before the CVS pharmacy closed. Josephine "tried" to sign me in but then said she could not see me because the computer had already signed out and she could no longer see patients.
I was visibly in pain with a swollen eye, she had no patients for the rest of the night, and the website clearly states 7:15 to be the cutoff. It was 6:50 she had no patients, why is it that Josephine can choose to not see me??? How is this fair to the customers who rush to get there on time, then find out they have to wait till an other day to get medical attention???
Josephine said I could leave to go to a CareNow urgent care facility nearby in McKinney. I was extremely angry, upset, and disappointed. I then had to drive more miles to the urgent care waisting more time, pay extra money to be seen, and I could not use the CVS pharmacy to refill a prescription needed. Since so much time was taken up with having to go to a second place it was then too late in the evening to use the CVS pharmacy conveniently in the same facility. I then had to use Walgreens 24 hour pharmacy service, which wasted more drive time.
Again, I do not understand why I could not seek medical attention. I can only hope that this has not happened to other customers nor happen to other customers in the future. I repeat that this was EXTREMELY disappointing and I hope this issue will be resolved.
