Our Practice and Direct Primary Care Blake Family Medicine, part of the larger Direct Primary Care (DPC) movement, is designed around the patient/physician relationshipâ??not the insurance/patient/physician relationship. When my Grandfather ran his family practice 60 years ago, healthcare was more simple. Patients worked directly with the physician to take care of their needs and the physician knew the families they cared for.
