Hi, I'm Steve @ Steve's Intermountain Service. We have been in Utah valley for 27 years and have been a AAA certified repair facility for the last 17 years. We were the only one in the entire valley for the last 15 years until they added two more late last summer; one in Provo and the other in Lehi. My technicians and I are ASE Certified and our techs have over 40 years combined experience between them. That number doubles with my experience. We are also a NAPA certified repair facility. We have a wall in our waiting room displaying our technicians certifications from the training we send them to every year in order to stay up with technology. We have the industries best nationwide warranty, 12,000 miles or 12 months, and we also have a program for you to get extended warranties for up to 36 months or 36,000 miles on most repairs. We do safety inspections and emission testing as well as all of the regularly scheduled maintenance services suggested by the manufacturer of your vehicle. We also do diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems including: batteries, starters, alternators, electrical wiring, lighting, fuel and ignition systems and computer systems. We can diagnose and repair everything on your vehicle including: Brakes, timing belts, axles, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, transmissions, engines, clutches, suspension, wheel bearings, tires and more. We have regular specials on all maintenance services including: oil changes, radiators and cooling systems, transmission service and repair, power steering systems, brake systems, transfer cases and differentials and anything else you may need. Come in and talk to us about our Car Care Club and save even more on your services and repairs. We invite you to come in and check out the quality of work, professionalism and our friendly, respectful service. I'll even give you a FREE air freshener with every service visit. We hope to see you soon. Call for your appointment or to just ask a question.

I would have to offer a similar review to those that have been placed, though I think the others may be a little bit harsh. Steve is an absolutely GREAT guy. Incredibly personable, and was very quick in getting the job done; however, we were broken down and the car was taken directly there (because of AAA). After speaking with several other locations, it was a scenario where we would have to pay several hundred dollars to just get an estimate from elsewhere, so we went with Steve's to be safe, only to find out later that he charged more than even the dealer. He offer's mailed discounts to return; but, was not flexible during our initial visit (especially after considering how costly it ended up being). He's a wonderful guy, but I highly doubt we will ever return---I would go to the dealer first.

Interesting what others are saying!

I am also not one to write many reviews but after reading some of these I am compelled to do it this time. From my experience I can say that I have never been treated with more respect than @ Steve's. The girls at the desk were great at greeting me and they took me home while they had my car and they even have a discount program on most of their services. The work they did was done when they said it would be and at the price they quoted me, which was the same price another shop had quoted. I'm happy with them!

I recommend looking at the other reviews written by those rating this with five stars. They are giving five stars to the same companies. You might want to do a little more research before you use any of these companies.

Wow!

This guy is so arrogant that it absolutely does not matter what you request for your car he will do what ever he wants and try to convince you after the fact it's all okay! (Twice!) The good news is that if you get angry enough and involve a dealership he will finally "make it right". If you don't care what you pay for or your manufacturer's warranties, by all means go to Steve!

Other reviews?

Where are the other reviews for this establishment referred to by the only post for this site? Obviously, they were positive, as indicated by the reviewer. It's a shame that only one review comes up and that that review is "not recommended". Steve's Intermountain Service is a Auto Association of America (AAA) recommended service shop and that recommendation does not come easily. My experience has been very positive and I would recommend anyone to trust Steve's for their cars' maintenance and repair. All makes, all models. Superior in every way!

Quality service, reasonable price, class act

With only a few miles left on our big move day from California to Utah, the front end of our '89 Mazda gave out. We managed to roll into my daughter-and-son-in-law's appartment parking lot and that was it. Mazda wouldn't move. Called AAA. They towed me to Steve's Intermountain Service. Thought I was going to get hit up for serval hundred - if not a thousand or more - dollars in repairs because the right front portio of the car sounded as if something broke loose and did serious additional damage. Steve charged me $70. Said a bolt came loose and a part got stuck up against the wheel, no damage.

I've been taking my cars to him ever since and he and his mechanics have done a lot of work on them (we keep our cars forever) for a very reasonable price. With a shop like Steve's, you don't have to buy a new car because he can fix them for a lot less than it would take to replace them.

Highly recommended. Not the easiest place to find, but well worth the effort. He has a great little office, too, where you can plug in a laptop or netbook and get some work done while you wait.

Bad Experiences at Steve's!

I am glad to see, after reading other reviews, that not everyone has had a bad experience with Steve's Intermountain. I, however, would not recommend this business to anybody. In the past 5 months my vehicle has been in and out of the shop 4 times. I do not exaggerate to say that I have not had my car for more than 2 days at a time before it won't start again! Each time Steve tells us its a totally different and unrelated issue. Yet, as time goes by, his words become hollower and hollower. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if he acknowledged the fact that it seems a bit fishy, since we never had problems with the car before and have always kept up on regular maintenance. I don't mean to suggest that Steve's is purposely conning me, but he doesn't seem to recognize the fact that he cannot seem to fix my car, and yet I continue to pour thousands of dollars into his company! A little sympathy, some assurance that they are NOT trying to dupe me, and some good old fashioned customer service wou

I would much rather find a business that can actually fix a car, but that also knows how to treat a customer!
