Created on September of 1969, The Pueblo West Metropolitan District is a quasi-municipal political subdivision. Located at Pueblo West, Colo., the district, a planned community with covenants enforced by the Committee of Architecture, operates various departments, including district administration, community development, facilities services, fire department, fleet services, parks and recreation as well as public works departments. It carries out services, such as street and road improvement and maintenance, emergency medical response, and also performs park/recreation operation, maintenance and support; water supply, along with wastewater collection and treatment services.
