Unfortunately I found Dr. Chiong to be condescending. I was not sure she was up on current testing to manage the disease I have, as there are different schools of thought on this. When I questioned the tests she wanted to take, and the treatment she wanted me on, she took it very personally, when in effect I was only being my own advocate. In my eyes her reaction was emotionally immature. I wanted to be able to work with her. At the very least I would like to have been heard.

Had I followed her initial treatment advice, and not current research, I would have gotten sicker. Had I not been tested correctly at a later date, and prescribed treatment from what those test revealed, I would not be as healthy as I am now under another doctors care.

I can only hope with time she will mature emotionally, not take things personally, and learn to work with patients instead of against them, dismissing their thoughts and feelings as irrelevant. This wold be called wisdom.

Dr. Chiong was extremely attentive during my appointment. She asked pertinent questions and offered sesible advice. She contacted me to go over my blood tests which no doctor has done with me in years. She is clearly very intelligent and compassionate. I give her my highest recommendation without hesitation.

Honestly, I was very disappointed. I only saw her once, she never read my medical overview, nor pulled my previous medical records from Parkview. Dr. Chiong called me over the phone with the diagnosis, even though all the test results had not been received, belittled my symptoms and sent me to another specialist. Dr. Chiong was rude, impatient and condescending. Her nurse and front office were extremely efficient and friendly.

I just spoke with Linda about the Rx discount cards for their patients who are without prescription coverage. Even though, the office doesn't receive to many patients in this category, she said she would place these cards on a counter for people who no not have Rx coverage. Thank You Linda!

Dr. is good...honest. He does not do surgery to get paid, that's for sure. His staff however could stand some re-organizing. Slow, slow, slow. Paperwork takes weeks to get forwarded, so do referrals! If you want to keep your job, avoid this staff!! Meaning, if your employment is going to require you to turn in paperwork due to missing work for injury, this office is not worried about it! The referral for epideral shots took over two weeks and actually, the doctor my husband was referred to for the shots, still has not recieved the referral. His Primary Care Physician has not received a report from their office so he can release my husband to go back to work, also over two weeks! Time is not their specialty, especially if its yours. Still waiting...it's been a month now since his visit to this office.

My mother suffers from severe ...

My mother suffers from severe neck & back pain that hurts the most after traveling in a vehicle. She traveled 4 hours (one way) to see the doctor. She had two appointments, both cancelled upon her arrival. Although they said they had called to cancel, if they did, it was after she had left for the 4 hour drive. She asked if she waited until later in the day would he be able to see her. NO. What if she spent the night, could she see him the next day? NO. After the second trip and cancellation, she asked for her records. There was no effort to make this right and no apology. The local doctor that had referred her to Lilly was very bothered by the handling of the situation. He has since referred her to another specialist and she has begun treatment to relieve the pain.
