After shooting several hundred sunset photos, I picked my 4 favorites to be framed. Next, I needed to find a good framing shop and stopped by “Framing by Fred”.
Fred took time to help us choose the color of the mats, reviewed several frame options, and explained the differences in printing paper as well as glass options. My wife and I never imagined that the framing choices would have such a dramatic impact on the final artwork.
I learned that Fred has over 30 years of experience teaching woodworking and it was clearly reflected in his craftsmanship. Most important, he takes a great amount of pride in his work. Fred has earned our very highest recommendation.

My wife and I brought a pastel drawing that was done by her mom, a local artist, and was already in a frame. Some of the pastel chalk had come loose over the years and could be seen sitting on top of the border matting. We wanted to clean that up and give the picture a better looking frame that would enhance the picture while we were at it. Well were we ever surprised that this great picture is now a fantastic picture. Fred took a predominant color from the picture and used it in the trim within the matting and created a wonderful border effect. He increased the size of the picture while he was at it and then added a frame that we think is worthy of a museum. We spent more than we intended to when we first started thinking about reframing the picture because as we discussed our options while in the design phase, we realized that this was an important pastel to us, so opted for a more expensive frame. And what we ended up with much more than we expected when came back to pick up the picture. We couldn't be happier.

I had a signed baseball jersey framed by Fred and I was more than satisfied with the end product. It looked better than any expectations I had. I would definitely recommend Framing by Fred to everyone I know!
