Putnam Elementary School provides educational and enrichment programs to students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school has a library media center that offers a collection of approximately 10,000 books and periodicals. It has a staff of nearly 130 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals. Putnam Elementary School offers academic classes in a range of courses, such as fine and performing arts, music, physical education, English, math, science, life skills and social studies. The school is a part of the Putnam School District, which serves over 1,200 students in three schools. Putnam Elementary School has an annual enrollment of more than 650 students and is located in Putnam, Conn.
