Stay AWAY from Canyon Pet Lodge if you care about your dog at all! We sent our dog for boarding for 3 nights, coming into the place it looked alright, staff was ok the owner was not pleasant she'll make you feel like an idiot if you don't know everything about dogs, even though she isn't the brightest in the bunch as you could see her career choice (professional pooper scooper) and that she lives next to barking dogs 24/7, no wonder she's such a B****anyway when we arrived to pick up our dog who is a 4 year old lab he seemed very nervous, and not like his usual self, on the ride home he vomited three times!!!! We took him to the vet immediately and found out he had obtained Giardia as well as Kennel Cough from being at Canyon Pet Lodge, our vet said this is common amongst places who do not sanitize properly in other word's are lazy and cheap and won't take the proper time needed to make sure thing's are done correctly...... thanks CPL for the $800 bill at the vet .......never ever again I am warning all my friend's and family to stay away as well as anyone reading this BE AWARE

Finally there are actual pet professionals running this business. Although it will take them a while to clean up the mess of the previous owners, they have already turned this company 180 degrees through their caring and professional attitude. It won't be long before this is the best pet lodging facility in the area. I would think, just from my few interactions with this couple, that bookings will be full before long and they will have to either expand or turn customers away. I was thoroughly impressed and you will be too!

I used to work here and feel its very important people are made aware of how poorly run this place obviously still is, I can't take hearing one more sad story from clients at my salon about this place even years after I left it! Seems the place still has rats and dogs still unsupervised in the daycare yards! These people have no idea how to run a dog daycare business and have had a few dogs in the past few years die mysteriously while staying there, these were young dogs who's owners still do not know what happened to their babies at that place. I quit after seeing enough of their idea of care and MANY clients of theirs followed after their dogs were injured or kept in filthy conditions, Ken even lied to a client saying a very ill dog had been giving all of his meds by him personally, the dog had NEVER once gotten meds WHILE he was there for WEEKS! The dog died a few days later. I would never trash talk a great place but a lot of great dogs are suffering because these guys cut corners.

Generally, we don't provide an exact time for grooming pickup because it is difficult to predict how much time it will take to complete service for all of our customers. We don't always know how receptive an animal will be to grooming and we will take all of the time necessary to ensure their comfort. This causes us to get backed up sometimes, but we believe that the safety and comfort of all of our guests is of primary importance. Tara Marie, we would welcome another opportunity to assist you. I would never take my dog there again! I made an appointment for grooming and specifically requested an appointment because I told them I did not like leaving my dog at the groomer's all day long. We have had bad experiences in the past. She gave me an appointment. The day of, I dropped her off at 10am. At 1pm they still hadn't called. At 2:30 (an hour before I had to be at work) I drove down there and she wasn't even done yet! They argued with me about the situation and didn't care at all that we had specifically set the appointment for a reason! I got my dog home and the job they had done was awful. Plus, as soon as she got in the door she drank an ENTIRE bowl of water! Which tells me they don't take very good care of the animals. NEVER AGAIN!

Our princess is a rough and tumble boxer, and this is the one place after checking out almost all of the nearby boarding kennels that we felt comfortable and confident in dropping her off at. She stays in the home-style boarding, has her play time outdoors, gets a bath before she comes home and showers us with jumps and twirls when we pick her up. Being a young boxer, she is energetic and hyper. We trust the staff to play with her and give her the attention she needs so that we don't get a report back that she's chewed up a couch in boredom.
