My son went to Woodcreek from the time he was a baby until a few years ago. I took him back to urgent care tonight, and apparently our last bill went to collections (less than $100) and they turned my sick kid away. I guess being the only urgent care center in town means you can afford to be a bully. I'll pay the bill, but my family will stay away from this place.

HATE this place. Not convenient. I cant take all 3 of my daughters in one day to an appt. I have to take off two separate days! Their bdays are close together. The wait times are HORRIBLE. Usually at least 45 minutes to an hour. I have many other issues with the Dr's there.

Not kid friendly

I took my child here on 4 occasions before switching pediatrics. I thought maybe if I saw a different doctor it would be better, I was wrong. Unfortunately all the doctors I have seen there are not kid friendly. And at a pediatric office isn't this the top characteristic one is looking for in a baby doc? Seriously I don't know why they are practicing medicine for kids when they obviously have no passion for children. Docs were rude to my kids actually! On top of that it takes at least 20 minutes just to get checked in, and with little ones time is of the essence. Also, I called once to notify them I was running a few minutes late and they said "thats ok thanks for letting us know" then when I get there 8 minutes late (8!) they had cancelled my appointment. I was flabbergasted to say the least. Find another place to take your darling babies, please. They will not be treated as they should, and neither will you.

I used to take my kids to the ...

I used to take my kids to the pediatricians at the sunrise location. i was ok when i just had my daughter but very unhappy with my son. i didnt have my son circumcised and at the beginning of the appointment i told the doctor that i preferred she not touch my sons genitals and that i would move it if necessary. against my wishes the doctor put her hand on his foreskin and started to retract the skin while i was saying "stop! stop! stop!". i ultimately had to put my hand on hers to get her to stop her. for my sons next appointment i scheduled with a different pediatrician in the same appointment and asked if there were any intact friendly doctors and told them my concerns and the receptionist said that this other doctor would be better. well i took my son in for his 2 year check up and the physical was going really well until it was time for his pants to come off. first, the doctor just pulled my sons pants down without telling my son what was going on and quickly opened up the diaper. i had to quickly reach down and cover my sons genitals because the doctor had his hand on its way. i told the doctor that i did not feel comfortable having him retract my son and that i didnt want him to touch his privates. the doctor walked away. i redressed my son who at that point was crying and very upset. the doctor then started trying to convince me to circumcise my 2 year old and got very frustrated with me. i told him that this topic was not up for discussion. he told me that i was not a good fit for this office and that i should seek care elsewhere. i have sense switched and couldnt be happier.

LOVE IT!

Every since my son was born I have taken him to the Puyallup pediatric clinic and I love them. When I was growing up my doctor was Dr. Grubb and I'm proud to say my son has him now. His nurse is so friendly and is always smiling. She remembered us and always greets my son as if he is her own nephew, she complements on his growth and is always very charming. Dr. Grubb always gives me plenty of information and print outs and never pushes his views on me unless I ask him for advice on a curtain subject. Overall I the think the staff is great and they never kept my now two year old son waiting. The only thing I do have to say negative about this place is getting an appointment within a reasonable time frame, you have to schedule it a month in advance to get a date and time you really want.

Poor Service

On March of 2008 my wife and myself got very sick. Since it was a Saturday I went to a walk in clinic in Puyallup. They told me to go down the road to Woodcreek, since they were a preferred provider for my insurance and had a walk in clinic. I went and got reasonable service from the attending PA on duty. The next morning my wife got sicker, so I took her to the same clinic. I was in the room when a different PA, checked my wife over and said she only has the flu, which there is no treatment for. My wife had a cough and her phelgh showed an infection. This PA lecture us for 20 to 30 minutes about the dangers of antibotics and proceeded to print out information from the internet for us. If we had wanted to be diagonosed by the internet, I could have done that at home. The next morning I took my wife to our Family Doctor, who treated her for acute sinusitis, acute bronchitis as well a acute gastritis. After complaining to Woodcreek about this poor treatment they waved the co-pay we owed them, however just last month they tried to collect it. The threaten to take up to a collection agency if we did not pay it. I would not recomment this clinic to anyone.

Be Careful of these people

My first issue was when the Doctor failed to notice that my daughter had thrush on her tongue and the roof of her mouth. My second issue is that they do not bill correctly. We gave them the medical coupon several times, but they decided to bill insurance that was invalid instead. Third, they cancelled an appointment without informing us.

If you can avoid this doctor, I would, though the care recieved was not neglectful, but I was not happy with this doctor's office at all.
