We got our Rocky from Last Chance Ranch. I would say he RESCUED us since we had a lost another dog near and dear to our hurting hearts when we went there. He was saved and quite the blessing! I can't imagine that he came from the streets of Olney AND 2 people/families also gave him up. Their loss, our gain and THANKS to LCR!!! The job they do their is phenomenal with all those animals. Look at all those horses from the farm this January they helped! I saw on our news the one horse has gained 100 lbs. and is doing remarkably well! THANK YOU all for the job you do. If working with the public for the past 25 years has taught me anything it is that you cannot make everyone happy all of the time. There will always be someone who will disagree, argue and even outright discredit anything and everything you have worked so hard for with no thought of how it can affect those involved. With that being said I have been a volunteer at LCR for the past two and a half years. I KNOW firsthand the work involved in helping these poor animals who come in abused, neglected and broken. I can tell you that Lori McCutcheon, the staff and all of the volunteers at LCR are the most caring and hardest working animal advocates in this area. If you disagree you should volunteer to see first hand the hard work that everyone at the ranch does. There are procedures in place that need to be followed so that we can help and protect the animals to the best of our ability. That is the main reason for doing what we do. We save lives! Bottom line! Many animals would have had a different outcome if it were not for the dedication and effort of those involved. LCR is a non-profit organization and we do the best we can with what we have. We do count on donations and community support and anything the community does is greatly appreciated. This truly is a wonderful organization that has helped so many animals and will hopefully continue to do so with a consorted effort for many more years to come!
