Update: The owner apologized again and has already reimbursed my cost of having one broken sprinkler head replaced. I also had my tree checked and the branches that were run through are probably ok (those branches were healthy and flexible enough to withstand the impact). The owner says he has a good reputation and many satisfied customers, so those people should submit positive reviews to give a more complete picture of this company. My original post before his response: Do not hire these guys! My neighbor hired them to take down a 30-40 foot fir tree from his backyard. My neighbor showed them the property line and where my sprinkler heads are located. But because they wanted to save time, they took the whole tree down in one piece instead of a few smaller pieces that the property configuration required. They then trucked it over my sprinkler heads and through my front tree, ramming the fir tree through the lower several branches of my front tree to avoid the same kind of tree in my neighbor's front yard. I tried to stop the driver, but he either didn't see/hear me or just ignored me! When I complained to the owner who was standing there witnessing the whole thing without taking any action, he apologized and said his worker "didn't know better!" Doesn't he train his people and why didn't he stop him? He trespassed and my tree has probably sustained damage that won't show until it leafs out in the spring.

Hired this company on two separate occasions and each time I called I dealt specifically with the owner. He was he returned my calls within a very short time period, and when it came time to deliver and estimate, he sat with me and thoroughly explained exactly what was entailed in the project, the length of time it would take and the type of equipment he would be using. Most importantly, he was upfront, trustworthy and gave me the most reasonable price. I had called three other tree companies in the area I must say, High Peaks was by far the best choice. In closing, I "highly recommend" High Peaks Tree Removal, for their service, quality work product and their wonderful management team.

The guys at High Peaks took down over 15 trees on our property. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up the job as if they were never on our property. They have done work for us several times, and every time it has been fairly priced and professional done. I would highly recommend Chris and his crew. M. Robinson
