If I could give them less than one star I would. Royalty Electric was hired to install a motion detection external light. Since we live out in the country this is a very important safety issue for us. The light installed was one that they had purchased and it was installed around October 2013. It has never worked properly. The light does not turn on with motion or off after a certain amount of time as it should. The light switch is located in my sons’ bedroom so the light either stays on all night or we end up waking him up when going to manually turn the light off. We called and left a message at the beginning of December 2013 when we realized that it wasn’t working correctly. We received a call back. We were asked if we had purchased the light and informed them that they were the ones that had purchased the light. We were then told that someone would call us when they were in the area. Please note that our house is 7.5 miles from the address listed on the Royalty Electric website according to MapQuest. We called again the first week of January 2014 and left a message. We have had no return phone calls. Today I went to their website and filled out the “contact us” form. This company does NOT appear to care about their customers. They purchased the equipment so they either use substandard equipment or they have employees that are incompetent.
