We have had trash service with A OK Sanitation in Hoke county until now. When we started the service we opted to do the twice a week service. We also had a gray trash can of our own and discussed with the owner, Adrian (I think that is how you spell her name), if it was ok for us to also place this can out at the curb if we had extra trash. She explained that normally they do not pick up other peoples cans but that it was not a problem, they would go ahead and empty it when placed out. They had been picking up the gray trash can without any problem. Then all of a sudden they stopped. We contacted the office and spoke with the owner again and she apologized and agreed to continue to empty that can. Two weeks ago, we had a birthday party that generated more trash than we normally have, as I said earlier we normally only put out our trash once a month. They emptied their can but did not take the gray can. We called the office again. I spoke this time with a lady that answered the phone and explained the situation and the agreement with the owner. She took my number and said she would call me back. Later that day, Adrian, the owner, called back. She was very rude and stated that she will not pick up the gray trash can and that I needed to go to a twice a week pickup. After speaking with her about our previous agreement she continued to be extremely rude. She told me that we pay for more than trash service. When I asked what else we pay for she stated that we pay to speak with her. Wow I did not know you had to pay to speak with someone that you pay for a service. We had been paid up through the end of the month but after her complete unprofessionalism I asked her to please stop my service. I asked her to please pick up her can and discontinue my service. Two weeks later, the can is still sitting there. We have called on a couple of occasions and politely asked for them to pick up their can as it is an eye sore sitting at the street. We have a fenced yard that the gate is always closed so taking it up to the house for them to pick up is not an option. I was told each time they would come and pick it up. Today I called, the receptionist answers the phone, I again ask them to pick up their can. She apologies, states my name, and says they will pick it up. I hear Adrian, the owner in the background, the receptionist asks if she can put me on hold. She places me on hold and Adrian picks up the phone, states my name says thank you and hangs up on me.
A very unprofessional company ran by a very unprofessional owner. This is how she treats her customers who pay for her trash service (oh and let us not forget that you pay for the privilege to talk to her). I am an active duty Soldier with over 23 years and WOW is all I have. I DO NOT recommend using this company unless you want to be treated like TRASH.

Just DON’T. The service is spotty, they are impossible to get in touch with, when you pay in advance they rip you off and take your cart early without a refund. And to top it off, they don’t do recycling. Go with Rob’s Trash Service in Hoke County for better service and pricing.

Does not pick up trash and when you call and complain, they make it seem like you are not worth their time. Very rude people who work here and a waste of money for services that aren't fulfilled.

This is the third time my trash wasn't picked up. First time I ignored it because I still had room in the can. The second time I called and complained and they said they would pick up my trash that evening with a fee of $10 on my next bill. Didn't have a problem with that. What I did have a problem with was instead of them coming that Thursday evening, they came late Saturday and my trash days are Monday and Thursday. So its like I was ripped off. Yesterday again.....NO PICK Up. Not to mention even when they do pick up my trash there's usually still trash at the bottom of the can. I WILL be switching my service ASAP. Haven't even lived here 6 months yet
