Stay away from this company!

I was assigned Young’s Appliance Repair by my home warranty company American Home Shield to repair the ice maker in my refrigerator. The first technician arrived at my home and I demonstrated to him that the ice maker was making ice but was not dispensing it out. After spending only a few minutes he told me that he would have to order a part for the repair. A week or so goes by and I receive a call to schedule the appointment for the repair part to be installed. While waiting the 4 hours, I received several calls from the technician telling me that he was coming to do the repair. At the end of the scheduled window, the technician called to inform me that due to car trouble he would not be coming to my home that day. He rescheduled the appointment for the next day (Saturday) at 9 am. Upon his arrival I noticed that it was a different technician. He went to my refrigerator ice maker in the door, removed and reinstalled a new ice storage box. He quickly started to gather his equipment when I asked him if he was going to check it. I handed him a large cup which he placed under the ice maker which dispensed about a half a cup of ice. He said it was fixed and started to direct me to the paperwork. I asked him to dump the cup and try it again. On the second attempt the ice maker failed to dispense any ice. I told him that I believed that there was an issue with the flap that opened and let the ice come out. He played with the ice maker flap for a couple of minutes and then told me that he agreed and that he would have to go back and order another part. After waiting over three weeks, with two repair visits and no change in the status of my ice maker, I asked him why the issue was not detected by the first technician. He stated that it should have been. I asked if his company was open since it was Saturday and he informed me that it was not. I directed him to have a representative from Young’s Appliance repair call me at 9 am on Monday morning, to which he agreed. On Tuesday, after not receiving a call on Monday, I started calling the number I was given ((910) 479-1342) for Young’s Appliance Repair, which immediately went to voice mail. I left two messages with my name, address and phone number requesting a return call. On Wednesday I called Young’s Appliance Repair and again my calls immediately went to voice mail. I then called American Home Shield to see if another part had been ordered for my repair. After finding out no parts were on order, I had the American Home Shield representative call Young’s Appliance Repair. After talking to Young’s Appliance Repair the American Home Shield representative informed me that Young’s Appliance Repair stated that the repair was completed and that they refused to do any further repairs for me because I was rude to their technician. Luck for me I notified American Home Shield on Saturday, after the technician left, that the repair was not completed and that I was told that another part had to be ordered. After what I have personally observed, I believe that Young’s Appliance Repair is a scam. It appears that Young’s Appliance Repair is made up of incompetent technicians and owner/leadership that does not worry about doing the repair, just collecting the cash and running.
