The Rahway School Superintendent and an elected district education board administer schools within the Rahway Public School District. Located in Rahway, N.J., the district has six campuses that offer classes from grades kindergarten through 12, and has an enrollment of over 4,000 students. Its courses follow the requirements of the state education board and core subjects include language arts, science, computers, social science and mathematics. There is an emphasis on technology and it provides Internet access in all classrooms, and has a comprehensive technology professional development program for its staff. The office of the Rahway School Superintendent encourages participation in a wide range of sports and school organizations, in addition to membership in service organizations, honor societies, student government and publications and academic clubs.
