Provided by YP.comreading the below reviews worried me a little about the homes in the community when we were searching for a new place, but we looked anyways. at first when I read these reviews, I was very worried about the sales people (the first review obviously written by centex, and the rest gave poor marks) my experience with Blair has been exactly what I expected from buying a new home. she knew what she was talking about, and when she didn't she found an answer for us. my only complaint is that there were no wooded lots when we bought, and right after we committed to a lot, they opened some up, not a huge deal. Joey (contractor) is knowledgable, and we would recommend the neighborhood to our friends. amenities are great! wish there were more floor plan options around 3000 sq feet though (only 1)

Provided by YP.comAfter closing we are STILL finding out how our sales agent screwed us! Kirsten had an attitude the moment we met her. There is too much to list. The entire process was horrible....HORRIBLE!
We finally closed, and it should be all good right? Nope! We have been in the house a few weeks, and today we find out she screwed up our homeowners policy!! She told them we closed on 6/4 when we closed on 6/26!! We kept getting nasty letters of non payment and eventually we received a cancellation letter. After MUCH effort, the insurance company is correcting Kirsten's mistake. She has refused to let us speak to her manager numerous times. His name is James Flanagan.... Thanks a lot James! It's obvious to us that they only want to make a sale, and they neglect you after you sign on the line.
The ONLY positive aspect of this experience was our contractor Cliff Foley. He is AWESOME! He was attentive to all of our concerns at all times, and responded to our emails and phone calls within 2 minutes of us sending them! He is a hard worker, who has a positive attitude. He is easy to talk to and understands what you are going through. He is in a class of his own. If you build here I recommend you request him if you can!!

Provided by YP.comOur sales agent is a moron! We picked out the house model we wanted, and they made some changes from the time we signed to the time it's being built. We are supposed to have double windows on certain walls, and we were later told that is no longer an option. They even changed the elevation we picked! (The elevation is what the front looks like.) They raised the lot premiums drastically. we were quoted 5000 for the lot we wanted, and when we went to sign they said it was raised to 10,000 3 days later!! They even are charging me to lock in the interest rate!!! They refuse to let me speak to their manager.... They said they were going to have their boss James Flanagan call us since we weren't allowed to have his contact information. A month later he still hasn't called. What a jerk. If you don't know how to read a blue print don't bother buying here.... They keep finding new ways to screw you out of your money.

Provided by YP.comThis development has beautiful houses and an amazing lodge on site. Once you step inside the sales center all I can say is GOOD LUCK. We were lured in to buying a home, with the expectations of a custom home. Our sales agent was Kirsten. Avoid her at all costs! She had an attitude from the time we stepped into her office. She made it clear that they don't have to negotiate whatsoever because they were selling so many houses, and if we didn't buy, someone else will. We have had one thing after another come up over the course of 4 months. They won't fix their mistakes, and say its too late to make changes. They REFUSE to give you any information for management. If you dont use their mortgage team or law office, they make the process hell for you. Its obvious what management expects from these people.... Its about quantity NOT quality. These people only care about making another sale. After that, you are on your own.

Provided by YP.comCentex lured us in with the promise of a lifestyle consistent with what existed when we moved in. Since then, Centex/PulteGroup has started building houses that are less than appealing and are priced considerably lower than what we paid. Not at all happy with the neighborhood or the direction it is going. We will be selling and moving asap.

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I have been looking to build a new home in the area and after meeting w/ a lender and an agent at Highland Creek in Raleigh, NC there is no doubt that this will be our next home. The agent on duty took her time to show us the homes in the neighborhood and then met w/ us again to go over upgrades that we would want within the home giving us a ballpark figure of what we would be looking at price-wise. And to make things better all that we want actually ended up being in our price range (note: we are a one income family). I would highly recommend Highland Creek if you're considering building your next home and if you're not then just stop in and meet some wonderful people (sales agents) they have working there.
