very sad I didn't even get to try on a dress

So I just want to start out by saying.... I was so excited to be going into David's Bridal to try on dresses with my best friend who is also getting married. I was excited because I also had other friends who have been to David's Bridal and had great experiences and also bought a dress that day. So my friend and I walk in on a very slow day with NO customers in the store. We where told they where training a few new bee's, "no big deal we said." Then we where told we had to wait to be helped. We looked around for about 30mins and then was told they had two employees going on break for an hour and we should come back later. I have worked in retail for a long time now and never been at least helped. We wanted to try on and maybe buy a dress. We didn't even get that chance because we where told to come back in an hour. Very upset and they just lost two customers :/ Thanks a lot for the bad experience maybe the next place will help me find a dress of my dreams.

My experience at this David's Bridal location was horrible. Stay away. Not only are the dresses poor quality, the service horrific. I made an appointment on a Thursday afternoon at 3pm. I planned to come later in the month with BMs and my mother but I wanted to try on a few dresses I had looked at online before the whole group was there. I walked in promptly at 2:50. Someone checked me in and gave me a back of flyers. I sat down to wait. 45 minutes later!!!!! the manager comes over to tell me the consultant is running behind. When the consultant finally comes over to me she is clearly new, frazzled and has no clue what she is doing. She is unable to access my online favorite, or locate any of the dresses (which I gave her exact style numbers for). Finally I just tell her the look I am going for and say "go grab something like the 10 I showed you from the David's Bridal website". She proceeds to bring me one dress that is nothing like I asked for. I try it on simply to keep myself occupied while she goes back to search again. The dressing rooms are dark and cramped. She brings me the wrong size. I hate the dress. I tell her this and she goes to get the same dress in a different size. No only can she not navigate the store or do her job, but she was unable to listen to my taste and opinion of the dresses she was pulling. I tried on 3 more dresses she brought and that was it. She brought no more dresses and I was out of patience. I left the store and never went back with my family. David's Bridal needs to seriously improve their customer service. The quality of the lace dresses is horrible and the prices (for what you were getting quality-wise) were very high. $1200 for a poorly sewn lace dress. I will be warning all my future bride friends to stay away.

I know that a lot of people ha...

I know that a lot of people have given them bad reviews and I feel bad for your experiences. I had a really awesome time at David's Bridal. This was my first time looking for a bridal gown and after I made my appt. and chose favorite dresses from the website I went to the store with my mom and maid of honor. We had to wait about 5 min but that was fine we walked around the store looking at other dresses. We had a strict budget and our sales associate was very understanding and made sure all the dresses were under that price point. She was very helpful and kind and very receptive to my comments about the dresses. I found my perfect gown on the second dress and bought it the same day! I am very happy about the service and how they treated me, especially because I am not a skinny girl (I'm like a size 20). I was able to buy a dress of the rack and it only needs minor alterations. I would definitely go back there. She even gave us a tour of the store so that we would know where to look for certain items. And once I had found my dress, she let me wear it as long as I wanted, she also had my mom and maid of honor try on dresses so they weren't left out. It was a wonderful experience and so easy that I was glad I went.

I went to this David's Bridal ...

I went to this David's Bridal in August to try on bridal gowns. I live in ENC, so going to Raleigh was like "going to town" for me, since there isn't much in the way of good shopping where I live. The store was extremely busy, and I waited about an hour and a half before I could even see a consultant (not their fault -- just know it is very busy, and you will feel rushed).

I tried on three dresses before selecting one. The consultant was very friendly -- she was the best part about the experience. After purchasing the dress, veil, slip, etc, I came out about $1200 poorer, but happy. I guess I got caught up in things, because I had assumed they could hold the small items (slip & bustier) for me until my dress came in, then send it to me all at once. This must have gotten lost in transmission, because they later called and wanted me to pay a $15 shipping fee for each item as it came in.

The customer service was okay, as no one was ever overtly rude or unfriendly to me, but I must say I was underwhelmed by the service I got after spending $1200 with them. The boxes the items came in (shipped from the store to me) were taped up haphazardly and looked more like something you'd expect from someone on eBay. When my gown finally came in 4 months later, it got shipped to my old address, and it took me about 15 days to figure out what had happened to it. The shipping clerk at DB was very nice, but I just felt kind of let down that such an expensive item was floating around out there, and when I got the box, it wasn't even taped shut properly and looked kind of smashed. Luckily, the gown survived. If it hadn't, I feel like I would've been angry at this point.

My advice: go to the store to try on the gowns, then order off their website. They are constantly bombarding my inbox with free shipping promotions from their website. It would be to your advantage to cut out the "middleman" and order directly from the website once you try on and select a gown, then get your alterations done somewhere trustworthy that is convenient for you. Hopefully the shipping would be more professional, and there would be less room for error. You wouldn't face shipping fees for each individual item, either.

Horrible Customer Service!!!!

I certainly hope not all David's Bridal's have the same customer service problems... I came to purchase a bridesmaid dress and No one who works there cares to help they leave you walking around aimlessly to fend for yourself, when someone does help you they leave you 5 minutes later after not listening to what your looking for, my dress was charged for the incorrect amount, alterations are way too expensive, When I do get married I will make sure that myself and my bridal party look elsewhere!
