My husband and I engaged Jim and his crew to prune old, woody azaleas and to take down a couple of small trees. They did an incredible job over a hot and humid 2-day period, and the results were phenomenal. They turned a section of our yard that had started to look like a jungle into a clean, tame area that we should be able to better manage in the future. This is the 3rd or 4th time we've used Jim's Maintenance and would heartily recommend him to others.

Jim is incredible!! Look no further because this is the man you should hire! He first did my moms yard. He cut down a lot of limbs off of her large oak trees. He was very professional and completed the job quickly and safely. When my husband and I moved into our new house, we had a huge yard of lots of dead bushes, shrubs, roots, you name it. I decided to call Jim and he came out very promptly to give us an estimate. He is very knowledgable when it comes to anything for your yard- not just trees! We hired him and he came out just a couple days later and knocked out our whole yard in just one day! He removed over 25 dead bushes and shrubs (and their roots). He removed a tree and pruned my three crepe myrtles. He also removed lots of dead roots out from the ground. He is quick, professional, safe, prompt, and very kind. He doesn't leave behind a mess and he will give you any yard advice/recommendations that you ask for. You can tell he really cares about what he does! Hire jim!

This is the second time Jim has done work for me. The first was removal of a pine tree after a storm.

This time Jim cleaned up my backyard from house to creek bank. This area is about 1/4 of an acre and natural since it is next to the creek. Jim did an excellent job of cleaning up several years of limbs and natural debris. He also cleaned up the ivy and briers next to the creek. Jim was quick and thorough. When I got home I was thrilled with Jim's work. I called him immediately to say how happy I was. I will definitely hire him again for other work. I already have some projects in mind! :)

Jim has performed tree removal several times for us and we are always impressed with his work. He cleans up so well after the service that you can not event tell that a tree was just removed from that spot. Professional and reliable!

Jim Gerardi has been doing tree cutting/maintenance and landscaping work for me for almost 30 years. His ability to see the entire scope of a job, with all of the best solutions, is nothing short of amazing. His communication skills and patience are a real asset. There is no one else I would hire for these services!

Jim's been my tree man for over 20 years and I've been more than satisfied with his work. In two cases, he was removing huge trees in difficult locations with cranes; it was so smooth it looked like performance art. Cleanup is perfect. Jim even makes sure that no neighbors are inconvenienced during a project. I can recommend him whole-heartedly for any job, small or large. Even if his quote is not the lowest, I believe he will always give the best value.

I have used Jim on 2 occasions where I had trees fall in my yard. He was there the next day. Assessed the damage. Jim knows trees. Gave me my options and was there the next day to get rid of the trees. Cleaned up all debris and hauled it off. I will definitely use Jim in the future. From reading the reviews, Jim does more than trees, so will definitely keep him in mind for other yard projects. If you call Jim, you will have no worries. Job will get job done professionally.

I have used Jim for many jobs. He is always responsive to my needs and his prices are fair. He is a true professional.

Through my corporate office, located here in Raleigh, I have done business with Jim's Maintenance since 2009. We have established an ongoing relationship with Jim and his company. Our needs have been consistent of the removal and discarding of various items from wooden pallets to computers and office furniture. They do a super job and always leave things in better shape than when they arrived. I never worry that there is improper disposal of any items they pick up and some of the items such as light bulbs have different disposal requirements that need to be addressed. He is a type A guy and runs his company concurrently. :)

I called Jim for an emergency stump and limb removal after a tree on my rental property fell during a winter storm that happened when I was out of the country. He was extremely accommodating and helpful, and went out of his way to relay detailed information to me via phone, emails and photos. Job was quickly done, very tidy and thorough - couldn't even tell there was once a tree in the spot he tended to. The tenant also noted how professional the job was. All around, we were quite pleased with his work. Job well done.

Jim took out a small tree that was leaning a little too far towards our house. After we called, he stopped within a day or two to give us a quick estimate. He followed up a few days later when he was going to be in our area to see if we wanted to proceed; after a yes, he showed up that day. Prompt, polite, quick and tidied things up nicely. Will definitely keep him in mind for future projects.

Jim is a man of exceptional character who has done many jobs for me over the years. All his work is top-notch.

Jim came out the day after I called him. He hauled off a bunch of debris and logs and left the area neater and cleaner than ever. We are very pleased.

I have used Jim for couple of jobs now. Latest job was at my house. I had couple of trees cut close to the house in backyard. Jim & his crew's work was extremely professional & are knowledgeable. The cleanup work was remarkable, (almost spotless, cannot even tell that I had trees cut). Thank you & your crew for a job well done. Jim has been doing yard maintenance and hauling for us for over 10 years. We have been very happy with his work. Jim is very reliable, professional and cooperative. He reviews his work with me to make sure that I am satisfied. His clean-up at the end of the day is very thorough. I recommend Jim very highly.

I have been using Jim's Maintenance for many years. He has removed trees, helped plant new trees as well as other projects. His speciality is trees and whenever I need one removed i call Jim. He has had the same crew chief with him ever since the first job and they seldom need to discuss "how do do a task", just "what needs to be done" and it gets done. Jim is a very hands on manager and works right beside his crew..



Jim is extraordinarily careful and thorough person who has always left the work area cleaner than when he started.



I told Jim to use me for any reference he needs for any type of job. He has my personal cell and home numbers.

Jim was very attentive to our needs and after all the work he did, the place looked great!!!

Jim & his crew came in and did a fantastic job on beast of a tree 60ft gum. He also cleared the left side of my house of over growth.

Two other tree co's passed up. Others quoted but were lolly-gagging about doing.

I would give Jim a call if you want work done. I will use again when needed.

Jim has more knowledge of trees than anyone I've ever met. He has trimmed and cleared trees for me several times over the last 8-10 years. He knows his craft and gives expert advice. Whether I am calling with an immediate threat or just a trimming job, he is always helpful and thorough. When he leaves, the tree is cleared and even the sawdust has been swept up. I like knowing he is dependable, safe and reasonable!
