Pike Electric Corporation was founded in 1945, as a power line construction company. The company started with one truck Floyd Pike salvaged from the bottom of an inland waterway in Beaufort, N.C. Now Pike Electric Corporation is one of the largest electrical contractors in the Eastern United States, with customers from Indiana to Florida. Pike Electric employs approximately 6,500 employees and has more than 10,500 pieces of equipment deployed throughout the Eastern U.S. The company constructs overhead and underground distribution lines and substations for utilities, electric cooperatives and municipalities. Pike Electric Corporation also performs Right-of-Way Maintenance.
