Provided by YP.comIf I could select negative stars, I would. On the night of my wedding Marriott overbooked and turned me away for their "more important" customers. As I stood at the front desk in my wedding dress and in total disbelief and humiliation I learned they would not honor my reservation that I booked over 8 months prior, received an email confirmation, and my wedding planner had confirmed three times that week. They would offer me transportation and a room at the Crabtree Marriott which is one mile from my home. I asked if they would pay for the cab ride to my home and they refused. After contacting the manager at the local Marriott as retribution I was offered a one night stay...how ironic since that was what I was supposed to receive in the first place! Feeling again, humiliated I contacted Deborah Wiley, Mr. Marriott's assistant. Although she was polite the best she could do was offer 50K in Marriott points. As I explained that was barely enough considering the huge emotional impact this had on myself and my poor new husband who tried to console me that night, she could only say she was sorry and that was all they had to offer. In the end this clearly shows I was not important enough to stay at the Marriott in the first place and not important enough to walk away from this catastrophe a satisfied customer.
