Provided by YPmobileDon't be duped into believing any positive review you may see online. This place is terrible, the management is absolutely terrible, maintenance staff is unprofessional and unskilled. I've lived here for a year and it has been by far the worst experience of my life. Please spend an extra couple bucks and stay somewhere else. This place needs to be bulldozed!

Provided by YP.comThis apartment sucks.....It doesn't even deserve one star...
Basically since day one, I have had roaches, fleas, spiders, waterbugs, crickets, and various other bugs, The staff is rude. Also, they didn't do any renovations prior to me moving in. I have filed complaints with every department and have gottena lawyer. Please, for your sake, STAY AWAY!!!!

Provided by YP.comAbout a year ago, when it seemed that things could improve, a new nightmare begins for the residents of Lake Boone Trail. Beyond human understanding, there begins the relationship of our apartment complex with AUM-Inc, a so called “water company”. I would like to warn those considering moving to The Villages of LBT, that if you do you will be paying three to four times more the regular rate in your water bill. In other words, if I was paying an average of $20 a month to the city of Raleigh (which is in accordance to state law), at the Villages with AMU-Inc I’m paying from $70 to $80 (completely against state law). If you research this water company like I have, you will find out that they are facing many problems, including law inflictions for overcharging, and not reading the water meters in accordance to state regulations. So why has PRG (Managing company for the Villages of LBT) decided to do business with a company facing problems with the law is befuddling to me.
They started billing the residents in what seem to be a pretty clear bill, but it actually is not. According to the laws of the State of North Carolina, the bill has to be clear enough that even the staff of the complex can explain it to its tenants. However all you will get from the staff are questions without answers, or answers without any specifics and not based on any facts and based more on opinions. The neighbors' frustration is evident; (...) The company is not billing you for what is actually reflected on your water meter, but based on an estimate opinion depending on the size of the apartment and how many people live there. Based on the size and number of tenants the company then goes to assume that a certain amount of people HAVE to spend a specific certain amount of water. (...) Putting this in terms of money, the AUM-inc and PRG are making a profit of an estimated $1.7 million by tripling the cost of water usage in comparison to the rates from the City of Raleigh. From a business point of view, making this much profit by inflating water, sure is selfishly genius. However, from the perspective of an individual struggling to make ends meet amidst a collapsing economy, it isn’t efficient or beneficial to me from a financial perspective.
In addition to everything, the company itself seems disorganized, suspicious, and unclear. We call the company and never get a clear answer, we talk to the complex staff and they know nothing. Even in between companies there is not a clear communication, therefore nobody knows anything, and nobody can provide me a clear answer. Everyone should know about AUM-Inc, the problems they had in different states across of the US, complaints on sites like bbb.org, other departments complexes; (...) This apartment complex believes that its residents are ignorant and without the ability to reason, investigate and use the necessary channels to find answers to questions in a clear and legal manner.
(...) When companies have nothing to hide, they help you and work with you; in contrast in this situation I keep getting bounced around until I get tired, well I will not get tired until somebody explains to me without any shadiness how they are coming with these magical numbers, which I have to pay with my hard earned money I hope you take my advice and run again from this place as far as possible. Before renting make sure you do research on the company, it will help you make an educated decision. Thanks for reading my post!
