I am wearing my sister's gown because it is beautiful and special to me. The gown was bought several years ago. I decided I would like a veil that would make the look my own. I found a beautiful, $800 veil at Traditions. I planned to have my mother drive to Raleigh to meet me. I called the store and asked if I would be able to try the veil on with the gown (as I didn't want to spend that much money on something that couldn't be returned without seeing the whole look).



I was told that absolutely under no circumstances would I be allowed to try on my gown in their store. They did not think it was necessary to see the veil with the gown, even considering the cost. I was told "you should have bought the dress here," even though they understood I was wearing my sister's gown.



I called a nicer store in Winston, Nitsa's. The bridal consultant could not believe I would be treated that way. She said it was no problem for me to try on the gown in their store. I ended up spending well over $1,000 at Nitsa's and found a much more beautiful veil.



Just a warning to brides who don't want to be treated badly :)
