Opened in 1997, Banyan Elementary School enrolls more than 700 students and offers instruction in kindergarten through grade six. It offers academic programs in reading, mathematics, language arts, science and social studies. The school additionally conducts classes in health and physical education, fine arts and technology applications. Banyan Elementary School organizes community track meets, Math Olympiad and sports programs. It has a media studio that produces weekly student broadcasts. The school s facilities include a library, multipurpose room, computer laboratory and more than 30 classrooms. Banyan Elementary School also offers a variety of ancillary and extended learning opportunities. In addition, it offers gifted and talented education and accelerated reader programs.
