I saw Barbara Jaurequi for help with my eating disorder (Binge Eating Disorder). I was very nervous about counseling but Barbara made me feel comfortable right away. She normalized the whole process for me so I wouldn't feel awkward. I found her to be very supportive and encouraging. But most of all I gained so much insight into the route causes of my problem. It turned out that my problem wasn't food - it was the symptom of my depression and anxiety. Once I understood what was going on with me (for years, I might add) I was able to make the behavioral changes necessary to help me lose weight (and manage my depression over time). I would highly recommend her services to anyone who was struggling with an addiction or problem with depression/anxiety. Her website is really informative too: bjtherapist.com
