Founded in 1997, Las Flores Middle School is located in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. The school serves more than 1,500 students in grades six through eight. Its general academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, science, social studies, home economics and technical education. It offers a variety of student activities, such as art, music, drama, dance, and health and physical education. Las Flores Middle School provides advanced educational programs for gifted and talented students. The school also offers Title I, accelerated reader and English Language Learners programs. It operates a parent-teacher-student association that organizes fundraising activities and special events. In addition, it offers foreign language courses in French, Spanish and Chinese. The school organizes field trips to various educational and cultural destinations in the community.
