Wade's Mill is Virginia's oldest operating commercial grist mill and has been stone-grinding grains since 1750. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register. We stone-grind premium and heirloom grains into flours, grits, cornmeal and a range of specialty mixes. Our products are available in our Mill Shop, along with selected local food products and gifts. During opening hours, visitors can enjoy a free tour and explore three floors of historic milling equipment and museum displays. We run the 21-foot waterwheel and historic milling equipment Saturdays and Sundays 10-noon. We are a small, family-owned business and enjoy welcoming our visitors to the Mill. A visit to Wade's Mill makes a great family outing in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. Admission and parking are free and we have lovely gardens with a picnic area.
