Established in 1937, Reptile Gardens is a recreation facility that offers various programs and shows. It offers shows featuring snake, alligator and crocodile, and parrot, hawk, owl, eagles and falcon. The garden has a flower gallery that has a collection of more than 40,000 flowers. Reptile Gardens has an indoor garden that has a collection of rare cactus, arid region plants, orchids, bromeliad and caladiums. It also has collections of various reptiles that include giant python, mambas, cobra, lizard and rattle snake. Reptile Gardens has a gift shop that offers various gift items, including smashed pennies, fossils, fun reptile staffs, T-shirts, tribal arts, and rocks and minerals. Additionally, it offers educational classes on topics of wildlife for school children. Reptile Gardens is located in Rapid City, S.D.

As this is my second participation in an event at this particular zoo, a comparison between the two experiences would be difficult as the time span (nineteen years) and memories are of a faint recollection. Also, in attendance were descendants of my parents, siblings, and their lineage.

The event attended was the alligator show, which was both humorous and captivating.

As this event was scheduled near to the conclusion of business hours, there was a limited period of time to explore the remainder of this zoo.
