Provided by YP.comBest kept secret in Portage County. We celebrate birthdays at Arnie's - the staff is so friendly. Small and yes you may have to wait for totally worth it. Never disappointed in any meal we have ordered. Going this evening for my daughter's birthday - can't wait. Love love love their pork chops - the husband loves the steak of course and really loves the liver and onions.

Provided by YP.comThis place is so small, people standing on top of each other constantly feeling like your in the way. It's so dark we had to use our phone flashlights to read the menu. We sat in a booth in the back corner and the bench seat was so loose that every time you leaned forward the seat let loose. They have frog legs on the menu but gave us some story about how they lost money and don't serve them anymore.they advertise a half pound of crab legs on the menu for 8.99 but when we ordered them we were told they were 14.99. So do your self a favor and correct the menu. For the prices they charge and as packed as they are you'd think they could add light, fix the darn booths, and here's a novel idea add on to the place. Oh and don't ever park at the front because you might as well get killed backing out blindly on route 14 with cars screaming by. Now I will say the entrees are good.the wait staff is good. The food takes forever, we were there 2 hours. Just wish they would upgrade the place and make it a more enjoyable atmosphere.

Provided by YP.comKim was our waitress and she did a fantastic job, the service was 2nd to none! The food was fabulous. The old lady that sat us at our table was very very rude. She needs to either retire or become a janitor at Wal-Mart so she doesn't have to talk anyone.

Provided by YP.comI would like to say that Arnies had great food. The atomosphere is small, but you also feel right at home and relaxed in the warm atmosphere. It is not cold and bright where you feel uncomfortable. The food portions are of nice size...not too large or too small. The prices are nice as well.
As for the other comment above mine, I agree with what they told her. If you do not like it, leave. Stop crying about it still smelling of tobacco after the smoking ban. If you walk in and it stinks, turn around and walk out. We were just recently there and planning to go again. The place is always packed with a line out the door. You must get there early so you do not have to wait. I guess nobody else minds the smell...maybe they are all smokers, but who cares....it seems to be working for Arnies! :)

Provided by YP.comWe use to love going here becuase the food was good. Went there tonight and the service was terrible. They were not busy. We saw more of the bus boys than the servers. Took a long time to get a drink order placed, another long period to place order, another long period to get the salad, another long perior to get appetizer. No one came back to get us drinks or ask how we were doing. After 1.5 hours and still not having a dinner in front of us, we let the staff know we were displeased and they didn't care and just made excuses. They all sat at the bar laughing and reading the newspaper while we waited, so that is not good customer service. We paid for what we did get and told them we didn't want the dinner, we had waited too long. Really sad that this place is going down hill at a fast rate. We will take our money elsewhere.

Provided by YPmobileMy husband and I have been going to this restaurant for years because they have wonderful prime rib, however after the way we were treated by the host, waitress, and owner, we will not be back.we were told that our party of six would be seated in about 45 mins, which turned into two hours. We were pushed and shoved rudely by the hostess, without apology. We Had to wait at the bar where not one person asked if we would like a drink. We were finally seated and our waitress took fifteen minutes to take our order. When she did take our order we were told they were out of prime rib. This upset me because, here we were standing at the bar for two hours, this is the one thing we come here for, and no one thought it would be a good idea to tell us what meats they sold out of? Furthermore I tell the waitress of our ordeal to which I get no reply, not even an apology. I ask to speak to the owner and she was even worse. We were basically called liars. She said she would check how long we were waiting for a table as if I'd lie. And we're basically told it was our fault because we didn't make reservations. She did apologize but in a rude tone. And to top it all. Because we were a party of six they so nicely calculated a tip into our total. I think the only tip I would have left is to learn how to speak to people. We weren't trying to get anything for free, as I stated before we love their food, but a genuine and sincere apology would have been appreciated. I guess I can't really fault the workers for having an attitude because this is apparently how Cindy trained them.

Provided by YPmobileArnie's is a staple in my family's traditions. The food is great and is made to Arnie's standards! The atmosphere is cozy and the air is splashed with wonderful smells of delicious cuisine as it emerges from the kitchen. You can find the owners at the bar often times with a friendly smile. My advice, try it for yourself! The line out of the door speaks for itself!
As for the review below: get some culture- all nice restaurants seat you when your party arrives in case you need a smaller table! They have a problem with being so busy they need every seat! If you want to be sat immediately as you wait for the remainder of your party? Go to McDonalds, they have a seat yourself policy that allows you to sit wherever you desire!

Provided by YPmobileSave yourself the aggravation and just go elsewhere. The customer service is the worst. First, they refuse to seat you unless your whole party is there even if the place is half empty. Second, they will rush you to finish if they have reserved your table for later. The food is decent. Correction, the entrees are decent, the sides are frozen or canned vegetables with the exception of the regular French fries and the side salad. The place is a dump.

Provided by YP.comDecently priced, decent service and decent food. I have never had a bad experience, or a bad meal, at Arnies and have visited on various occasions over the years. As for the review below whining about the smell when it allowed smoking, I agree, you should have gone elsewhere as it was your issue, not theirs.

Provided by YP.comI have really mixed feelings about this place. Its extremely small, before the smoking ban went into effect every area was smoking and they had one fan to clear the air... which.. needless to say did nothing. You could find yourself stinking like and ashtray and rubbing your smoked red eyeballs every time you left. Even after the ban you can still smell the stale stench of old tobacco. Teh food has always been done well... as well as a country kitchen anyway but i was a bit put off by how dismissive the employees were when i asked about a non smoking area when i used to go. I was told basically to go somewhere else if i didn't like it. So.. Atmosphere F, friendliness D, food, B.
