This was anything but clean and restful. Nothing had been updated since 1980's! Several safety issues: No peep hole in the door! The plumbing was so noisy that when another guest in another room turned on the water, our pipes clanged and banged. There was no light in the toileting area except for the dim heat lamp. No microwave at all and the small college size mini-frig sat on the floor. We walked into the breakfast corner to find a loaf of bread in one plastic container and stale donuts in another. There was no coffee to be had. There were no tongs to safely get the food if one wanted any. One of the worst offenses to the health of all guest was having the ice scoop in the ice. The sheets were ripped, the blanket was dirty and the window rattled with the wind. Needless to say, I was awake all night. If this motel is affiliated with any group, I suggest they drop it until the owner brings it up to par.

The first room we were assigned reeked of urine. We asked for our money back and they have a no refund policy. We paid with a card so I was tempted to just leave and file a dispute with my card company. The second room was filthy. It looked as if the floors had not been cleaned for years. There were holes in the floor to the outside of the room. The sheets had something red caked on them. I did not sleep under them. All of this filth was a mere $120.00 per night. The continental breakfast was toast and a stale grocery store Danish monitored by the staff to insure that you did not take too much. If you are going to stay in Rawlins make reservations in a chain ahead of time. There are a lot of this type of place there. I would avoid all Motel 7s based on this one experience. I would rate this dump zero stars and would not board my dog there.

Old motel had basic motel items sinks stove fridge were cleaner than I though they would be but so not worth the 90 bucks but better than nothing the TV's are WAY outdated need some improvement my dog slept in my car and the cleaning lady freaked out thinking the dog was in the room! If it is the last room in Rawlins then yes take it (that was my situation) but if not find a better place.
