I would like to take the opportunity to mention a few things frequently considered as you make your treatment decision and I encourage you to call if you have any additional questions. *Dr. Osborne is a highly respected specialist in orthodontics; completing dental school and orthodontic graduate school. He is an instructor at UMKC's dental school and has been in practice over 20 years; he is member of the American Association of Orthodontist, Midwest Society of Orthodontist, and Greater Kansas City Dental Society and participates in post-graduate societies. *Choose an orthodontist that has received their education from an accredited orthodontic graduate school. *Choose an orthodontist with experience, not all treatment is "textbook". *Dr. Osborne finalizes the placement of brackets on each patient; not the assistants. *Dr. Osborne sees each patient for regular adjustments and he makes the necessar y adjustments to the arch wires. *Oral hygiene is monitored at each appointment and parents are informed if improvement is needed. *Parents are always welcome in the treatment area to monitor the patient's progress and address any questions. *All assistants are certified orthodontic assistants qualified in "Orthodontic Expanded Function" by the state of Missouri.
