Established in 1961, Raytown South High School is a coeducational school that serves more than 1,400 students in grades nine through 12 and is located in Raytown, Mo. It offers a wide variety of academic courses, including English, reading, arts, foreign languages, social studies, computer science, mathematics, science and visual arts. The school s academic curriculum also includes music, business and technology, family and consumer science, industrial technology, and health and physical education. It provides a wide variety of athletic activities, such as baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, swimming, track, cross country, football, softball, volleyball and wrestling. Additionally, it offers various extracurricular activities, including debate, jazz band, orchestra, art, clay and photography clubs, the Future Teachers of America, the National Honor Society and student council. The senior high school is operated by the Raytown C-2 School District.
