Provided by YP.comI had few hours to spend in the east side of Reading and didn't want to go to a chain, so I found this charm. Good old flavor, open char grill (could see and smell the grill as I enetered the front entrance), cozy atmosphere, many loyal customers (from talking to few people). I had a Tbone steak which was good, with plenty of sides to fill me up for several hours (I eat a lot). I was convinced to try desserts and I had a lime pie (homemade) which surpassed my expectations, although there were many more excellent choices. I'll tyr again when I'm back in Reading next month

Provided by YP.comIts kind of old and out dated. The food is just ok. I expected a charcoal flavor experience but didnt taste it at all. The place seems full of retired people who seem to be loyal customers. Very few younger people or families which should have been a warning sign to me. I thought the burger would be a good charcoal cooked burger but it had no flavor at all. I am not sure how they cooked it but it didnt taste like a charocal burger. I have tasted more char broil flavor with a Burger King Whopper. The staff was nice. I just think the food itself is not really worth the wait or time to stop in. A place that advertises a specialty like Charcoal on its sign should be a good charcoal cooked food place. The place has potential if they just use some creativity and updated their menu and could follow through with quuality. I did not grow up in the area so I am not going to go there just because my parents did. That to me seems to be the customer mentality and probably keeps this place afloat. I would have liked to say I liked this place but can't.
