We celebrated my mom's 70th birthday dinner at Panevino. The food was fantastic and the service was just as good. This has quickly become my brother's favorite place to dine in the city and I agree. Mom loved her surprise dinner.

First off the food was delicious but the service was POOR. Was this the first night our server ever worked. He had an issue with us asking for separate checks. In additon our server forgot how many items this evening. The drinks were wrong. The food orders were confused. He even forgot my dessert.. I had to track him down to remind him about the dessert I order 15 minutes after everyone else was served their dessert. When he finally came back to our table he proceeded to tell me that the restaurant was out of the dessert that I ordered after everyone else was finished their desserts at our table. The point to this is service. If one is spending $100 or more dinner a little service goes a long way. Letting our table know that a item order is sold out is par for the course that is life but to wait untill the customer has to signal the server is just pathetic. And he even added items to our bill that we did not order. Very disappointed..
