OMG, let me tell you about my trip to White Dove Laundromat. I sure wouldn’t use the car wash after this experience. It started on a rainy Monday morning. I had 5 loads of clothes. I brought only about $8 of quarters but had plenty of cash. I proceeded to load the washers. I was shocked to see the triple washer was $4.75. I thought a little over priced for such old machines. I blew 19 quarters there. I continued to load all the other washers, $2 for the small machines and $2.75 for the next step up, then proceeded to the coin changer. After 3 attempts, I noticed the “out of service” light was lit on both machines. GRRRR. I headed out to the car wash with delight. Both coin changers said out of service as well, which I didn’t try inserting money. I’m starting to lose it by this point. So, I hope in my car and make a mad dash to hit both Rudders to get 2 rolls of quarters.

Started the other washers and entered the bathroom to wash my hands. There were no paper towels, which didn’t surprise me. The machines were dirty, as well as dirt on the floor and many layers of dirt on the curtains. Humm, one would think the owners could at least wash the curtains at their own laundry mat. Guess it cost too much :)

Now comes drying my clothes. Since I was alone except for one girl, I used 10 dryers for my 5 loads to get them dried faster. The dryers cost .25 for 7 minutes, which I could handle if the clothes got dry. I put in $4 to dry my 4 towels and 8 wash cloths, which didn’t dry completely. $4, Really??? I finally gave up.

While waiting on my clothes, the TV randomly comes on, ant races. After 15 mins of the annoying sound, I finally turned it off.

I loaded my clothes in the car, which I spent almost $17 to dry, it was raining so some of my clothes got wet again. What a day.

I noticed the sign on the coin changer, which said to call if any problems. I called the number, around 11 AM. The young man answered the phone. I let him know his coin changers were out of service. He acted like I was bothering him. I also let him know the car wash machine changers were out of service as well. He said that was impossible. I told him the lights were lit up saying the out of service. He said “fine, I’ll be right down” and hung up on me. What a way to end my already “great experience” at White Dove.

I looked around for another laundromat and found Sal’s in Red Lion as well. There is a large group of us working here and I will tell them all about White Dove and let them know about Sal’s. I haven’t wash my clothes yet but the place is clean and the machines are new.

This laundromat if way over priced. I just left California and it cost $1.25 for small washers and $3.75 for triple washers. They even had 5 and 8 load washers. The dryers cost .30 for 10, which the clothes were dry in 2-3 cycles.
