Strand is the best doctor and surgeon I've ever seen. Caring, compassionate, kind, young but knowledgeable. Takes his time with you. Even on his off days he still came and saw me at the hospital to check on me. Great bedside manner. Truly one of the best doctors you'll ever see.

Just had a Flatfoot Reconstruction Surgery last month by Dr. Garrett Strand at Shasta Orthopedics. I’m a 60 year old woman who been in a lot of unbearable pain for years. I’d been wrongly diagnosed with Fasciitis many years ago, so didn’t pursue. So glad my primary doctor urged me to get further work up. Turns out I needed a Flatfoot Reconstruction of my right foot and ankle.
This week I’m 5 weeks post op. I had 4 quite long incisions with two small plates. My befores and afters X-rays don’t look like they could possibly be the same foot. I have a beautiful arch, and aside from swelling which still require periodic
icing, my agonizing pain is COMPLETELY GONE! I’m walking on my own. No crutches or any aid. I actually am weeding my yard! 5 weeks post op!

He’s in a Class all his own! The Kindest Person who Listens, Explains in Detail, and although he’s So Knowledgeable and Confident, he has this refreshing humble quality that you don’t see.
I’ve had many knee surgeries and have even worked for a few surgeons. Dr. Strand is Amazing!!! SO grateful for this life changing opportunity!
