We ate at this restaurant Aug. 2018 on our way home. Very disappointing. We got out of our car and the smell of dead animal hit us. This is during the horrible Redding fires. Walked inside seemed nice and clean. The food was not at all good. My husband went to pay the lady asked how our meal was, he stated that it was not good. The lady told him she was sorry, and that some days are better than others. I do not recommend this place at all.

Best Buffet in Redding. Love the authentic Chinese food selections and the Mongolian grill and many other options...

The best food ever! Huge variety and very nice staff. Except the blond with all the makeup. She was behind the pay counter up on a ladder cleaning the shelves with her butt crack hanging out. It was not a very nice veiw. She kept wiggling it back and fourth like , ( please look at my crack) I think she is a tweeker, how ever she is nice talking to us. Lolololololol will continue to go there ....

dined there 11-31-14 they have a food Nazi there that follows you around , watching your every move.she turned me in to the owner who scolded me for to much food on my plate.this place is full of undocumented workers , I was told by one of them that he was only paid 2.00 per hour and that his tips were very important,as he still had to pay for travel to the u.s.

not bad

I've been there a couple of times and I have never been disappointed, but I have never been supper impressed either. for the price it is not a top choice on our family list unless you hit the discount Tuesday. But its worth trying.

Went 4/30/2012 to the Grand ...

Went 4/30/2012 to the Grand Buffet with my husband. We had a lunch coupon. That gives the second 50 % off.

So we been seated at about 1 hour clock ( a bit before) and start eating our lunch. The food wasn't that great and the sushi was old and dried out.

When we where done the check came and we put the 50% off on there. Then the host came and said. " This only counts when you be seated at 1 hour clock (wasn't to find on the coupon.) Then my husband got a bit more angry and ask to talk to the manager. She was very rude and told there was a little sign up front that you had to give the coupon when you came in. (also not printed on the coupon)

The sign was SO little nobody would ever see this nor give that coupon. Now it's not about the money but more about the rude manager. Plus that when you give coupons and you have SO many rules you need to print them on there so people know what to expect.

All said this they lost two customers that day. we will never go back to this place.

Grat Food, Honest Price

Our family has gone to the Grand Buffet on several occassions. Birthdays, Anniversaries and just a quick dinner out. The Sushi is always Fresh, and there is a terrific variety to choose from. The main buffet is clean and appetizing offering everything from Crab Legs to Sweet and Sour Pork. This is all you can eat with a price that is affordable. If you like Chinese and Japanese this don't be afraid to give this a try. The food is NOt 5 Star but for $10.00 it is at least 3 Star !!!!
