Jacks grill is amazing. Just don’t go there thinking they are open because this yelp said it was. Since covid began businesses have shortened hrs and unfortunatelyYelp has failed to maintain accurate and current information on them. While understand it may be hard to keep up but that is what they do. People need to be anke to rely on the information that is provided by yelp, if not they have no value to thier customers

I have been eating at Jack's since the late 70s, and every time it is the same: no reservations, excellent service, a steak that is the best west of Chicago, maybe as good or better, and the sound and smell of a first class steak house. I have heard that truckers alter their routes in order to eat there.

Jack's looks like a hole in the wall but is a hidden gem in a historic part of Redding. Definitely the best steak around!!

Oh, and a nice bar too. I was a little apprehensive when I walked up because the place looks like a locals bike bar on the outside, but get yourself a seat and enjoy one of the best steaks around. Good prices and great food.

This is one of the best steak houses in the country. The salads and bread are almost as good as the steaks, A must if you are in Redding, CA

but this restaurant is fabulous. No frills but an awesome bar, friendly bar tender, and THEEEEE best steak I have ever tasted. We live 400 miles from this steak house but never pass up an opportunity to stop there when we pass by. I have referred approx 30 people there and everyone agrees - it is wonderful. In fact, my dream would be to find a spot and open a steak house just like Jacks.
