Preferred Carpet Care Company History Preferred Carpet Care was founded by Rod Barth in 1969. He started his business in Roseville, California and has now been operating out of Redding since 1994. This gives him almost 40 years of experience! We are not a franchise. We pride ourselves in offering high quality work at a competitive price. While most of our clientele come from long-time customers and referrals, we also do some advertising on the radio and in the yellow pages. We handle both residential and commercial cleaning. Preferred Carpet Care is IICRC ( Institute of Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration ) certified in all of the services that we offer. This is very important as the cleaning industry is not yet government regulated. This means that just about anyone with some cash can go buy a machine and start cleaning without the proper knowledge of what they are doing. IICRC is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 that has set the industry standards for inspection, cleaning and disaster restoration. In turn, each of our employees are personally trained by Rod to ensure that all of our work is up to the industry and carpet manufacturers' standards, protecting the health and well-being of all of our clients.
