Provided by YP.comThe American Legion, Post 44 is located in Redmond, Oregon. We started our Post in 1929, and have been proud members of the Redmond, Oregon Chamber of Commerce; we helped build the Redmond Airport - known as Robert's Field - and we helped build the Expo Center in Redmond.
The American Legion here in Redmond, holds Bingo every Friday evening at 6:30 pm and Sunday afternoons at 12:30. There are lots of prizes and we have many attendees.
We are currently looking for veterans who are serving or who have served in the US Military - we don't discriminate; we accept women or men; for those who are currently serving, we offer FREE membership for the time you have served! Absolute NO cost to our US Military! We are hoping to attract new members, and get the current members back. We're no longer the "old fogies" sitting around smoking cigars and drinking beer - we still like our beer, but we believe in Community Service! We have adopted a street, and will be cleaning it every two months; we're planting trees at the Cemetery, in Redmond; We are planning a Golf Tournament this September, with the "Hole-In-One" prize of a Brand New Pontiac Solstice, courtesy of Gary Gruner Chevrolet, Buick Pontiac, in Madras, Oregon.
If you are currently serving, or if any family member has served or is serving, please come see us! You may contact Jim Guthrie at: "[email protected]", or please call our Post at (541) 548-5688.
