Provided by YP.comFind another place to get your career training. The instructors although pleasant are not trained to be teaching. I was taught by a 17 year old boy who had taught himself on the computer. A nice kid but by no means a teacher. I went there for a career in Information Technology. I talked with a nice lady who told me I would be able to get a job after I took the course offered by them. The class I got was Intro to Information Technology and the classes were very basic and there were no certifications offered when the class was complete, there was not enough information to be certified in anything. Be aware when you are looking for training for a career. Find out if you will be certified when you are done with your training. I does make a difference.

Provided by YP.comI believe Career Choices offers the most in depth and thorough courses in Northern Nevada regarding the Microsoft Office System. The curriculum and teaching methodology provides a foundation which allows students to build upon skills they have learned and reinforces them through practical lessons. I also appreciate the professionalism of the teaching staff, all of whom go the “extra mile” to make sure students fully understand concepts and are eager to assist when questions arise. I fully recommend anyone interested in enhancing their computer skills to inquire about the programs offered at Career Choices.

Provided by YP.comI recently took a Word Course at Career Choices. The course was thorough, practical and challenging. There was a student in the class who needed some hand holding, and I was very impressed with my instructor's patience and consideration in meeting this student's needs. I have already recommended this course to one of my co-workers. The course is certainly worth the investment!

Future Clients:
I came to Career Choices on March 31, 2010. I owned and operated a successful insurance company from 1981-2001. My office skills were less than perfect. I needed help to up-grade my skills. The staff at Career Choices are first class and very patient. They cared about what I needed to work on and accomplish. If you need computer skills to get that “Better Job”, I highly recommend using Career Choices.

Provided by YP.comQuite happy with the Microsoft 2007 coursework provided by Career Choices. The class sizes are small to allow for all questions. The learning environment is both professional and supportive. It has my vote!

Provided by YP.comI attended the Word Level I & II training sessions at Career Choices. The trainers were great - Michelle and Nancy were both patient and thorough. Michelle went methodically through the lessen book while Nancy had more of a free flow kind of workshop. I learned a great deal from both of them.
There were only two negatives:
1. At this time they only teach Microsoft product of 2007 or later. I use 2003 version and once I was back at the office I had some difficulty converting what I learned to the earlier version of Word.
2. The training room is EXTREMELY hot and unpleasant. The air conditioning and fan brought little relief. The uncomfortable environment was very distracting from the lessons.
I would return for additional training.
