I am a current resident of these apartments. I would not under any circumstances recommend living here to anyone, specifically a UNR student. Sandy the landlord will not sign your lease thus making it so there is no official record of where you are residing. She will loose your rent checks and then blame you for the mistake. The maintenance man will come in to your apartment with out prior notice (which is not legal) as will a cleaning crew that was not mentioned previously to the tenants. The maintenance is not knowledgeable and very unhelpful. The tenants are not given a way to contact the Sandy after hours in an emergency such as a pipe breaking. The only number provided is to a dispatch center to call about parties. If there is a smoke detector going off all weekend in an empty apartment she will hang up the phone on you as you try to explain the situation. There have been bed bugs, plumbing problems, numerous health concerns and fire hazards from the uncleaned heating vents. The wifi goes out on a daily basis where you spend hours on the phone with a nonlocal IT just to be disconnected and told to wait 48 hours before the situation can be fixed. Sandy will never put anything that you bring to her attention in writing so she can claim that you never informed her of the situation. When it rains this water pouring from the floors above creating a waterfall on the lower walkways. When it freezes it turns the common path into an ice rink that is impossible to avoid. When the power goes out the oh-so-handy parking garage gates get stuck and you have no to override it in order to move your car. There are no safety or bug screens on most of the windows with the few that retain them are severely damaged and useless. Don't let the pretty exterior cloud your vision of the glaring problems with these apartments.
