El Pescador
499 E Plumb Ln, Reno, NV 89502
Highlights El Pescador Restaurant would like to introduce its mariscos (seafood) concept to the Reno/Sparks area. We have a traditional Mexican Seafood flavor along with your all time favorite that can only be described as reminiscent of a Tropical Coastal Vacation. It's that heritage that our name is derived from: El Pescador (The Fisherman) who went to sea every day to catch the freshest: fish, shrimp, crab, octopus, mussels, and oysters. Sometimes he went in groups, sometimes he went alone, and is to this lone pescador that we owe our finest recipes to. We have every confidence that our quality Mexican food, fast friendly service and overall welcoming atmosphere will win your hearts and taste buds.

Provided by YP.comI live in the San Francisco bay area, and I recently went to Reno for a weekend getaway. I had heard of El Pescador from a friend, and they highly recommended it so I thought I might as well try it.
Honestly, I would take a day trip, and drive three hours to eat this food. I haven't been able to stop bragging to all my friends and family about this place. I took a small to go menu with me, and plan on taking a trip back up there soon with some friends. They have the best fish tacos I've ever eaten, and the Camerones con Camisa (Prawns stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon) was to die for. Their horchata tastes like Christmas and the chips, salsa and bean dips were amazing. I can't wait to go back!!

Provided by YPmobileExcellent food at reasonable prices--highly recommended. We've been there many times, sometimes just my wife and me and sometimes with friends or family, and have never been disappointed. One of the dishes--fish stuffed with shrimp--is truly outstanding and a favorite of us both.
Neither of us is Hispanic or speaks Spanish, BTW, but in spite of what previous reviewers have said, service has been uniformly excellent & everybody's been very friendly and welcoming.

Provided by YP.comIt really is a lovely restaurant, they even have live music once in awhile. However, unless you're really into fish, you may not like the food. They do offer a few meat dishes, but the main draw is seafood. The service is great, although the usual busy times for a restaurant may change how soon you get your food. The prices are a little on the high side, but that's to be expected for a seafood restaurant in a land-locked area. My favorite dish is the shrimp vera cruz, its flavorful without being too spicy :)
