Provided by YP.comWorst customer experience ever! Waited half an hour for an associate to help us out with a Valentine's gift for my wife, who was happily looking at Pandora beads and rings, not once were we told that somebody would be with us soon, which was really not a big deal, but when another associate came out from nowhere and started to help out other people who had just come in, I said "excuse me but we have been here for over half an hour" but then she turned and started helping them anyways, we left and when I got to the car I went in to speak to the manager to let them know this customer service was not acceptable, we finally got some help but they did not add a third item to the bill we had asked for..... I will not be back!!!

Provided by YP.comWe bought an 18-inch akoya pearl necklace for daughter's college graduation from JARED's. She wore it two or three times, then put it on again and two pearls spilled onto the floor. The insides of the pearls were jagged, which you see easily with the naked eye, and they sawed ... or cut ... the string. We took it back to JARED within a couple of months, and we were charged $100-plus for repair. They would not warranty it and said they were giving us a "reduced rate" because we purchased it there. They implied rough usage. Oh, my gosh! I have a Mikimoto 50-inch strand from 1983 that has been through the war and back, me wearing it to work, tripled around my neck and other variations, and holding my babies while they grab them, etc., and it never broke! I explained to the JARED person that they should probably repair this free of charge since you could see the sawed-off string and the necklace was new. They could not have been more condescending and rude. It took a long while for "the manager(s)" to come out of the back. They would not budge, and were arrogant about it on top of that. I have to admit I am a spoiled Tiffany's recipient for the past 25 years. (My husband never made a mistake from Tiffany's!) We now live in a small town and had to settle for what Reno had to offer for this event. JARED does not stand behind their products and are rude in the process. Never, ever try to do business with this store because they are misguided and confused about good customer service.

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I had such a horrible experience here. This was supposed to be such a romantic time for us, and Jared's ruined the whole thing. It's a long story, but I will be brief. I wanted a ring that could be certified "Conflict Free." Most places will tell you they don't deal with conflict diamonds, but they can't prove it. A sales person's word is worthless to me and I wanted authentication of the sourcing of the diamonds. With that in mind, I decided to buy loose diamonds from http://PolarBearDiamon..., a Canadian source for diamonds. We planned it all out with Jared's staff. When the diamonds arrived, we would bring them in and their "artisan" craftsman would make us our ring. They were new at the time, but they assured us that their craftsman was very capable and we left very excited. It was a process...first they had to make the mold, which I had to try on and approve. Then they made the ring, which my husband approved because he wanted the final product to be a surprise. Time kept passing and I was wondering why I hadn't been proposed to yet. I started to get antsy and finally asked my boyfriend (now hubby) why he hadn't proposed yet. He filled me in on the fact that in the time that he had had it (about three weeks), three diamonds had fallen out. Every time he took the ring out of the box to look at it, another diamond would fall out, and he would have to take it back and get it fixed. (Also, by the way, it was made of platinum, but when I saw it, looked like a piece of tin...like cracker jack box quality). When he told me this, I was pretty pissed. I called Adam, the store manager, and told him that we wanted our money back. They obviously couldn't make a ring that was working for us, thus we had been lied to, and thus we wanted to take our business elsewhere. First, he wouldn't return my calls, and then finally, he just flat out refused. When ANOTHER diamond fell out again, he finally relented and told us we could have store credit. I was so discontented with the whole process, and with their quality of eternity bands, that I just bought a plain solitaire. I have a ring that I didn't even want, in a style I don't like, and to top it all off, we have $2,000 worth of conflict free tiny diamonds just sitting in my jewelry box. It's not easy to resell diamonds that size, and I'm too scared to try to have someone make something out of them. I will always loathe Jared's for what they did to us. Every time I look at my ring, I remember. Adam could have fixed it by apologizing profusely and giving our money back, but they were rude and only in the end gave us store credit. They have since fired that "craftsman" but the fact that they screwed us to save his hide at that time is something I will never get over. If you want to gamble with an event like your wedding, and all the memories that surround it, you can go here. If you want to have happy memories of being proposed to, I would recommend somewhere else.
