Based in Reno, Nev., it operates as a marketing organization for the United States to promote convention and tourism business. Unlike other convention and visitor bureaus across the United States, the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority owns and operates several facilities designed to draw out-of-town visitors.
