Owner Tony LaMorte was to build a bookcase and install it before Aug. 1. After 2 reminder calls from me in which he stated that we were on schedule, my bookcase did not arrive before Aug 1. Left another message on July 29 before leaving town which he did not return. Reaching him upon my return, he stated that my deadline was not significant because it was not a life or death situation! He said the project could be done by the end of Sept. - 2 months after agreed upon date. I told him I couldn't work with him as he had not done anything he had agreed to and returned no calls. He wanted to be paid for his unseen work. I told him that I would not be paying him because he had broken our contract. He then said that I could not have my bookcase picture back. I have disputed the payment made with my credit card. Reps.from State of Nev. Business Licensing Dept. and both the Reno and Sparks Business Licensing Depts. advised that Ruby Crest Design did not have a current license.
