Dr. Steve was born in Seattle, Washington. He moved to Oakland, at age 13, with Mom, Dad, and three siblings. After graduating from Cal State University, Hayward, with a BS in Biochemistry, he attended Washington University, School of Dental Medicine, at St. Louis, Missouri. Graduating near the top of his class in 1984, he earned his DMD, Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Steve then began practicing with Dr. Don Gillespie, at Carnelian Bay, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. In 2005, he began practicing part time in Reno. Living in Reno since 2000, the commute to Tahoe got to be too much, and he decided to open a brand new, state of the art, full-time practice in northwest Reno. The new office opened in December 2007. An active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, and the Northern Nevada Dental Association, Dr. Steve keeps up to date on all the latest advances in dentistry by taking more than the required number of continuing education courses. In fact, he is a lecturer and teacher of the latest Cerec technology. He is passionate about solving the problems that patients bring to him, teaching them how to achieve a beautiful smile, and how to avoid future dental problems.
