Established in 1969, Washoe County Public Defender's Office is a community based defender organization. Located in Reno, Nev., the firm represents indigent persons in criminal cases, juvenile proceedings, involuntary commitment hearings, parental termination petitions and parole hearings at the Nevada Department of Corrections. Additionally, the institution represents persons involved in juvenile and family drug court, to name a few.
