Provided by YP.comWe held a reception at the Rescue Community Center after my son, Michael (Mikey) Hallenbeck;s memorial service. A friend of mine worked with Diane to be able to use the center. It was a wonderful location - Many of Mikey's friends are from Cameron Park and Rescue and knew the area well. The center is also just down the street from the Green Valley Mortuary. It was the right size - had a kitchen and dining area as well as a yard which is where most of Mikey's firefighting co-workers and snowboarding friends were sitting. Thank you Diane and all at Rescue Community Center for allowing us to use the center.

Provided by YP.comWe held my Dad's 90th birthday party at the Rescue Community Center on Oct 25, 2015. My Dad and his brother and sisters grew up in Rescue and was a great place to celebrate. The Center was perfect! Perfect size, with kitchen and dining area, yard and patio for the kids, and just a family friendly place to be. Thank you Diane and all at Rescue Community Center for making the day so special for all of us!

Provided by YP.comMy family has rented the Rescue Community Center over the years, for many events, including; Baby Showers, 1st Birthdays, Memorials, Thanksgiving Dinners & Bunko Games, just to name a few. We have always been treated courteously, professionally & with the utmost tact. I would highly recommend this venue for your next event however elegant or personal. Dorothy Franklin

Provided by YP.comIn response to Yahaira M. -- Posted in the hall are the clean-up rules and instructions in Spanish and English, which we also went over during our in-person meetings. Charging the $200 is way too low for the amount of clean-up as evidenced by the photos and the persons doing the cleaning before the next event at noon.
Playing the race card when you didn’t clean up the hall per our contract and accurately recount the facts is so unbecoming.

Provided by YPmobileDo not rent here if you are Hispanic, they are arrogant, racist people. From the start I had mentioned to the lady over email the amount of people attending and that alcohol would be served. However, it wasn't until she met up with us, which was like a 2 months before the wedding, far too late to look for another venue, that she mentioned that for the amount of people and alcohol being served we were obligated to rent security (extra $300 there) and instead of a $200 deposit bumped it up to $500. Let me also mention that she called private every time she needed to get ahold of me, making it impossible for me to call her if I had any questions. The night of the wedding we made sure everything was clean and put away, but apparently it wasn't good enough. The next morning she called us at 8:30am and left a voicemail, and I obviously couldn't call back. We arrived at 10:15 and they told me the had been cleaning since 7am, and hour and a half before they called me. Now they are keeping $200 of the $500 because they are saying it took them 5 hours to clean, which is impossible. The pictures that were their proof that was left a mess should a couple beer cans left outside and apparently the floor was sticky, we didn't leave it spotless, but $200 for those two main concerns is certainly overboard. I just hope they needed the money more than us.
