I came to Dr. Schuler after months of back pain and excruciating sciatica. He was very clear, direct and confident in the course of action we needed to take in order to get my life back. He was exactly right and 3 months later, I am pain free and ready to lead the active lifestyle I want!

Dr. Schuler helped me through a complicated diagnosis and chronic pain. His expertise and strong referral network led to results. The PAs and staff are extremely efficient and considerate of patients. I am thankful for my treatment at Virginia Spine Institute. This is the best medical practice that I have seen.

Amazing, reliable, diagnosis and treatment. The back surgery gave me my life back!

Dr. Nguyen believes that surgery should be the last resort. I had severe continuous back pain in C3-C5. We started with cortisone shots, then radio-frequency ablation, and episiotomies; all worked for a year, then reduced in helpfulness. Finally, rather than fusion surgery, Dr. Nguyen proposed Stem Cell Injections, which was not covered by insurance. It was the best money I've ever spent! It took ~15 months for the stem cells to reach full growth and my pain slowly reduced. Now, I can golf again! I rarely feel any pain at all; only when I overexert myself, and it goes away by the next day. Thank you, Dr. Nguyen!
